tarofonika is the electronic offspring of bassist Rick Foot
conceived as a remix project growing out of the voice/bass duo with singer Karin Karian, it has multiplied into a sprawling creature with its own inner life
this is very much a studio project, using unwitting collaborators - karin karian, paul yeung & others - prepared to tolerate having their contributions mangled beyond recognition or chopped & layered with found sound & manipulated bass noise
performing any of this material live is beyond the scope of the project at present
